This activity took place on Saturday, March 12, 2016, with the purpose of teaching a group of teachers and students from Manuel García Pérez High School in Rincón to study the changes that occur on the beach in their community so that they can begin to monitor it. Several professors from the following universities also joined the workshop: Metropolitan University, Turabo University, and the University of Puerto Rico in Ponce.

During the training, participants took various measurements on the beach.
