As a part of its educational efforts, the University of Puerto Rico’s Sea Grant Program has designed a series of educational guides for teachers with the goal of promoting conservation and sustainable use of Puerto Rico’s coastal and marine resources. These guides are a tool that would aid educators in teaching about these topics in their classrooms. The topics covered thus far include the mangrove forests, seagrass beds, and coral reefs.
In the links provided under the ‘Educational Guides’ tab will show you more information about these guides, the activities taking place to implement the guides in Puerto Rican school curricula, and how to obtain each of these guides.
