Another school which benefited from the workshop series was the Catalina Morales de Flores High School from Moca. This took place on February 24th, 2016. There, the students were lectured on the three most important marine ecosystem. The students were very attentive and made several questions, showing their engagement with the material. They went to the schoolyard and played the seagrass game. Thanks to this, they understood the role seagrasses play in feeding and sheltering juvenile species. They also observed the samples of coral and sea turtles we brought. Finally, they observed a video about the three ecosystems and worked on the sand analysis workshop. It was a very interesting and lovely experience for them.
